- Calavi Night Ride by bike: a unique way to see the city differently.
- Fidjrossè beach: bars, music, sea breeze.
- Marina Boulevard on foot or by bike: ocean on one side, city on the other.

Discovering Cotonou by bike
Most tourist sights in Greater Cotonou are a few kilometres apart, but hard to reach on foot due to heat, traffic and uneven sidewalks. The moto-taxi (zem) is fast but leaves no time to enjoy. The bike is the sweet spot: 15 to 25 km in an evening, free stops, you breathe the city.
Riding in a guided group is a real plus for safety and orientation. AFTER6 RIDERS runs weekly night rides from Calavi: guided route, bike provided, lighting, fresh coconut on arrival. See our Bike rides in Cotonou page.
Calavi, 20 minutes from Cotonou
Abomey-Calavi is Cotonou's immediate neighbour. From Cotonou it's 20 to 30 minutes by car or zem. But Calavi offers what central Cotonou no longer has: shaded roads, access to Lake Nokoué, the Ganvié jetty, and quieter evenings.
It's our base. Everything AFTER6 runs in Greater Cotonou starts there. See our What to do in Calavi page.
