Why (re)discover Cotonou by bike
Cotonou is a city you live in motion. On foot, the heat and uneven sidewalks make distances painful. On a zem, you go fast but see nothing. In a car, you're stuck in traffic.
The bike is the sweet spot: you cover 12 to 25 km in two hours, stop where you like, breathe the city. And after 6pm, when temperatures drop and traffic calms down, it's the best way to discover Greater Cotonou.

Cotonou or Calavi: where to start?
Many ask why our rides start from Calavi when most participants come from Cotonou. The answer is simple: safety and experience.
Calavi offers wider roads, less evening traffic, direct access to Lake Nokoué, and patchy street lighting that makes our lamps genuinely useful. 20 min from Cotonou, it's the best compromise. Once there, many of our routes then follow the Cotonou-Calavi border.
For a 100% Calavi focus: see our Bike rides in Calavi page.
Why choose a guided ride?
- Safety: group, guide, lighting, scouted route.
- Zero logistics: no need to rent, maintain or transport a bike.
- Community: riding with 15-30 people changes the experience.
- Photos: our guides capture the ride, you leave with the memories.
- Local knowledge: we know the right spots, times and restaurants.
